The Let There Be Night
program included paper plate activities to support the 2009 Globe at Night
campaign and other dark sky advocacy. Shown at left is the Turtle
Hatch activity.
Through summer 2009, the 3-D model (made out of 35,000
LEGO® blocks) that show the results
of the Let There Be Night experiment is on
display at the Harris Branch Library
in Granger, IN.

Paper Plate activities will be part of the Kids
Astro Camp from July 19-25, 2009 at YMCA Camp Eberhart
in Three Rivers, Michigan. The one-week astronomy camp for boys and girls
ages 10-12 acquaints young stargazers with the majesty of the night sky on
the shore of Lake Corey. |

Phew...the transit of Venus has come and gone, and it was a
spectacular site for many who saw it. Now it's time for a
